Byron Brown
is deeply committed to supporting the presence of Beingness in human consciousness. To that end, he has been guiding individuals, leading groups and training new teachers for more than twenty years as part of his work as a senior teacher in the Diamond Approach, a spiritual path to inner realization. He brings a background in dance, movement and performance to his spiritual teaching and the combination of the two has resulted in his Falling Awake workshops. Byron is also the author of Soul without Shame, A Guide to Liberating Yourself from the Judge Within, published in 1999 by Shambhala Publications.

Sandra Maitri
Homepage

Diving in the Inner Ocean

Autor/ Author: Dominic C. Liber

Verlag/ Publ.: Shambhala Publ.

An Introduction to Personal Transformation through Diamond Inquiry

Much like the ocean, each of us has inner depths: an entire world beneath the surface of everyday living pulsing with beauty and mystery. These depths reveal the very things that we spend our lives searching for: love, support, belonging, meaning, joy, and freedom. Through the contemplative practice of diamond inquiry, you can begin exploring your inner world just like a diver discovering a reef.

Diamond inquiry combines the depth of meditation with the power of psychological insight. Developed by A. H. Almaas, this simple yet powerful practice is ideal for anyone wanting to explore their inner world. Dominic Liber introduces this powerful tool along with step-by-step exercises to develop your understanding. In time every situation becomes a doorway to deep insight and transformation.

News & Reviews

"In simple and easy steps, Dominic invites us to befriend our experience and to gently explore it through to its underlying meanings, coming to depths we have not contemplated and places we have not known in us." —from the foreword by A. H. Almaas

The Diamond Approach has been developed and taught over the last forty-five years by A. H. Almaas, who is widely recognized as a leader in the integration of spirituality and psychology. His brilliant vision of the human psyche embraces our Being from early development to the highest realms of spirit. From this he then offers a new language and direct approach for awakening to this manifold nature." —Jack Kornfield, author of A Path with Heart, coauthor of Seeking the Heart of Wisdom

"I myself can recommend the Diamond Approach as probably the most balanced of the widely available spiritual psychologies/therapies." —Ken Wilber, author of A Brief History of Everything and The Integral Vision

Diamond Approach: An Introduction

Diamond Approach: An Introduction

Autor/ Author: Davis, John
Verlag/ Publ.: Shambhala Publ.

"This excellent book gives the first overall overview of the major dimensions of the Diamond Approach. In it John Davis does true credit to the importance of this work." Jack Kornfield

This book is the first systematic overview of the Diamond Approach. In a clear and accessible way, it introduces the central teachings and practices of this unique new spiritual path. This book will appeal to those who are new to the Diamond Approach as well as those who have been studying and practicing this work.
John Davis opens the book with a personal account of this own experience of the Diamond Approach. Individual chapters then cover its orientation; the method of Inquiry; the Soul; Space; Essence and the Theory of Holes; the Personal Essence (the Pearl); the Essential Identity (the Point); and the Boundless dimensions. The Epilogue again speaks to the reader in a more personal way. Each chapter consists of engaging, thorough coverage of the central features of each topic by Davis and extensive selections from books and talks by Almaas. This combination reveals the breadth, depth, and richness of the Diamond Approach.
"Dr. John Davis has a great deal of experience in teaching and working with students in the Diamond Approach, and it is clear that he puts it to good use in the present book. The result is a very clear, detailed, but simple overview of the Diamond Approach, written by one who know the subject matter both intellectually and experientially. Dr. Davis has rendered a great service here, both to the Diamond Approach and to the many readers who want a fresh look at the human potential and its spiritual dimensions." A.H. Almaas

Soul without Shame

Soul without Shame

Autor/ Author: Brown, Byron
Verlag/ Publ.: Shambhala Publ.

Do you have a chronic case of "the judge" -- also known as the inner critic or superego? Here is a practical, accessible handbook that will show you where your inner critic came from, how it operates, and how accessing strength, joy, truth, and compassion can counteract its powerful forces. Soul without Shame explores what it means to liberate yourself from your inner judge as a step toward experiencing the freedom and vitality of the human soul. It contains exercises, practices, and entertaining examples from everyday life to guide you in your work with the exhilarating process.
Byron Brown is a senior student of A.H. Almaas, who developed the Diamond Approach, a path of self-understanding. As a Diamond Approach teacher since 1982, he has a special interest in guiding students through the basics of working with their superegos. His book introduces the principles of the Diamond Approach in the context of work on the inner critic.
"In very clear and available language, this book details how to recognize the inner critic and how to deal effectively with it. Byron Brown's presentation is useful for any individual who wishes to be free from the inner suffering and coercion of this ancient foe of our humanity, but it is specifically directed to those interested and engaged in the inner journey toward realization and enlightenment." A.H. Almaas

Befreiung vom inneren Richter

Befreiung vom inneren Richter

Autor/ Author: Brown, Byron
Verlag/ Publ.: Kamphausen

Autor/ Author: Rabenbauer, Josef & Michel, Gabriele
Verlag/ Publ.: Arbor

Almaas) unterrichtet.
